Mrs. Flonnie Mae Ridenhour Owens, age 85, of Dick Street, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, August 26th, 2011 at her home.  Her family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Sunday evening at Stanly Funeral Home and her Graveside Service will be at 11 AM on Monday, August 29th, 2011 at Whitecrest Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Danny Laws will officiate.

Born August 6th, 1926 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Owens was the daughter of the late Robert Dewey and Emma Sells Ridenhour and was a graduate of Albemarle High School.  She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills with 47 years of service and a member of Whitecrest Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aster Thurman Owens.  She is survived by one stepson, Bobby Ray Owens and wife Teresa of Kinston, NC; two brothers, Clegg Ridenhour and Douglas Ridenhour of Albemarle, NC; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
