Mrs. Evelyn Rogers Tindal, age 92, of 625 Bethany Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2010 at Stanly Manor Nursing Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her funeral will be at 3 PM on Monday, December 20th, 2010 at West Albemarle Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC and her family will receive friends from 2 PM to 3 PM just prior to the hour of the service.  Rev. Adam Hatley will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

Born May 9th, 1918 in Wetumpka, Alabama, Mrs. Tindal was the daughter of the late Harris Edgar Rogers and Lenora Sanford Rogers.  She was a retired Beautician and a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church where she served as a member of WMU, the Senior Choir, and a Sunday School Teacher. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Virgil Tindal; one son, Donnie Ray Tindal; four brothers; and one grandson.  She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann Tindal of Albemarle, NC and Norall T. Shields of Albemarle, NC; two sisters, Maxine Murphy of Milledgeville, GA and Bobbie Jean Harlow of Aiken, SC; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
