Mrs. Evelyn Marie Burleson Thompson, age 89, of 1930 Woodhaven Court, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday,  August 17th, 2011 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle, NC. 

Born September 14th, 1921 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late Hobert and Minnie Bowers Burleson.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Thompson.  She is survived by one son, Toby Thompson of Lady Lake, FL; one sister-in-law, Annette Vanhoy of Salisbury, NC; and two grandchildren, Nokoa Thompson of Washington State and Michael Thompson of Lady Lake, FL.
