Evelyn Burris Shaver, age 76, of 28993 A Sweet Home Church Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Monday, April 19th, 2010 in Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be at 3 PM on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 in Stanly Funeral Home’s Chapel and her family will receive friends from 2 PM until 2:45 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Darrell Lee Thompson and Mr. Trent Thompson will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born on March 30th, 1934 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Shaver was the daughter of the late Grady Vester and Lola Troutman Burris and was a retired employee of E.J. Snyder & Company. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Shaver. She is survived by three sons: Jerry Lynn Morris of Norwood, NC, Jeffrey Lee Shaver of Albemarle, NC, and Ernest W. Shaver of Locust, NC; three daughters: Tammy S. Thompson of Albemarle, NC, Brenda S. Page of Albemarle, NC, and Patricia S. Helms of Albemarle, NC; one sister: Caroline Robinson of Charlotte, NC; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
