Evelyn Ray Campbell Miller, age 68 of 35486 Dry Road in Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at her home. Her funeral will be at 3 PM on Sunday, March 14th in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel and her family will receive friends from 1 PM to 3 PM just prior to the hour of service at the Funeral Home. Rev. Don Powers will officiate and burial will be in Norview Gardens in Norwood, NC.
Born on May 12th, 1941 in Roanoke Rapids, NC, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Duffy and Ruby Shaw Campbell and was a stay at home Mom taking care of her family. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. She is survived by her sons: Robert Poythress of Albemarle, NC and Charles Miller, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; one daughter: Rbin Pressley of Grover, NC; three sisters: Alice Spillane of Colonial Heights, Virginia; Faye O’Neil of Creedmoor, NC, and Patricia Hargrave of Roanoke Rapids, NC; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
