Etta Jane Sells Eudy, age 89, of 100 Creek Ridge, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Monday, May 10th, 2010 at her home. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM Thursday, May 13th, at Poplin's Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Carlisle and Rev. Barry Whitley will officiate and burial will be in Poplin's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born July 7, 1920 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Cordelia Dealie Sells and was a graduate of North Carolina Baptist Church School of Nursing in Winston-Salem, NC. She was a retired LPN wiht Stanly Regional Medical Center and a member of Poplin's Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Billie Burleson and husband K.C. of Albemarle, NC, Bobbie Whitley and husband Barry of Albemarle, NC, and Pamela Harris and husband Steve of Albemarle, NC; one brother: John Sells of Albemarle, NC; three sisters: Jeanette Poplin, Jewel Sells, and Ruth Cotter all of Albemarle, NC; six grandchildren: Tracy Bowers and husband Todd, Robin Whittaker and husband Art, Grant Whitley and wife Deborah, Alan Whitley and wife Susan, Bryan Harris and wife Angela, and Chris Harris; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ed Sells and Floyd Sells.
