Elaine Boggan Francis, age 63, of 1816 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, FL, passed away on Monday, April 19th, 2010 at FloridaHospital in Orlando, FL. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Friday, April 23rd, 2010 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC. Rev. Lee Church will officiate and burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church’s cemetery.
Born February 6th, 1947 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Francis was the daughter of the late John M. and Lucille Hyde Boggan. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University and was a former Pediatric Nurse in Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband Benny J. Francis; two brothers: John Marshall Boggan II of Emerald Isle, NC and Edward Luther Boggan of Mt.Gilead, NC; and one sister: Elizabeth Kimrey of Albemarle, NC.
