Mr. Edward Lee Thompson, age 60, of 4988 Gaddy's Ferry Road, Norwood, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. His graveside funeral will be at 2 PM on Friday, September 30th, 2011 at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle, NC and his family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday afternoon from 12 PM to 1:30 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Frank Ingram will officiate.
Born April 10th, 1951 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Thompson was the son of Charlie Edward Thompson of Norwood, NC and the late Alttie Jean Gray Thompson. He was an employee of RUSCO, of the Baptist Faith, and loved to go fishing at the coast.
Mr. Thompson is survived by three brothers: Vernon Thompson, Randy Thompson, and Rex Thompson all of Norwood, NC and two sisters, Diane Swaringen and Wanda Rummage both of Norwood, NC.
