Dovie Genora Misenheimer Harwood, age 86, of 625 Bethany Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on thursday, June 9th, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7 PM to 9 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 at Salem United Methodist Church.  Rev. Jacqueline Tookey will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Born July 10th, 1924 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Pearl Roseman Misenheimer and was the Co-Owner of T&D Grain and farmer.  She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Lloyd Harwood, and daughter, Rose Genora Morris.  She is survived by her sister, Alice Beaman of Locust, NC; three grandchildren: Genora Michelle Furr, Larry Allen Carpenter, Jr., and Lauren Rose Sanders; and one great-grandchild, Ian Carpenter.
