Della Mae Carter Love, age 80, of 625 Bethany Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 4th, 2010 at Stanly Manor Nursing Center in Albemarle, NC. Her funeral will be at 2 PM on Monday, March 8th at Stanly Funeral Home and her family will receive friends from 1 PM to 1:45 PM at the funeral home just prior to the hour of service. Mrs. Gaye Heafner will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.
Born September 29th, 1929 in Cabarrus County, NC, Mrs. Love was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mattie Lucille Grass Carter and was a retired employee of American Lockstitch in Albemarle, NC. She attended North Albemarle Baptist Church and loved growing flowers and working with crafts.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Todd Love and wife Lela of Albemarle, NC; two daughters: Brenda Love Hill and husband Keith of Oakboro, NC and Teresa Love Wensil and husband Buddy of New London, NC; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. A daughter, Rachel Ann Love, and three brothers; Glenn Wilcox, Frank Carter, and Charles Carter; preceded her in death.
