Dawn Evelyn Faulkner Horne, age 72, of 22063 South NC Hwy 49, Gold Hill, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 12th, 2011 at her home.  Her funeral will be at 3 PM on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and her family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:45 PM just prior to the hour of service in the Rose Room at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.  Rev. Cathy Davis and Dr. Bill Faggart will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Born September 27th, 1938 in New York, Mrs. Horne was the daughter of the late Atlee Wayne Faulkner and Evelyn Carrie Groat Faulkner Dahlhoff.  She was a homemaker, farmer, and member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.  She also enjoyed Farmville, cattle farming, painting, sewing, singing in the choir, reading, and gardening. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Edward Horne, and a baby boy.  She is survived by two daughters, Donna Horne Parker and husband Rocky of Richfield, NC and Darlene Horne Rogerson and husband Carter of Florence, AZ; two sisters, Dianne Faulkner Greene and husband William of Richfield, NC and Sheryl Faulkner Furr and husband Johnny of SC; three grandchildren: Brandon Parker and wife Jennifer, Jessica Parker, and Riley Parker; and two great-grandchildren, Christian and Corbin Parker.
