David Evander Hardin, 80, of 85 Nantahala Street, Badin, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 24th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. His funeral will be at 11 AM on Tuesday January 26th in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and his family will receive friends from 10 AM until 10:45 AM just prior to service. Rev. Dan Abernathy and Rev. Jeff Scott will officiate and burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC at 3 PM.

Born February 11th, 1029 in Robeson County, NC, Mr. Hardin was the son of the late Richard Norman Hardin and Rebecca Allen Hardin and attended Badin Baptist Church. He is survived by three brothers: Richard Norman Hardin, Jr. and wife Betty of Columbia, SC, James Bruce Hardin of Lowell, NC, and Haskell Boyce Hardin and wife Lucy of Norcross, GA; and one sister: Doris H. Tucker of Badin, NC. One sister, Ileen H. Hetland, preceded him in death.
