Connie O’Shea Rowland Kirk, 57, of 38519 Airport Road, New London, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and her funeral will be on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Caines will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born September 19, 1951 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bill Melton and Zenita Jolene Herlocker Rowland and was a former employee of Crook Motor Company. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband: David L. Kirk; one daughter: Karen Lynn Smith and husband Burt of Tahlequah, OK; two brothers: Jeff Rowland of Concord, NC and Randy Rowland of Concord, NC; and three grandchildren: Tyler Smith, Ke’Ana Smith, and Dana Smith.
