Clyde Woodson Hunt, age 72, of 155 Linwood Drive, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.  His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel.  Rev. Adam Hatley will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.

Born February 5th, 1938 in Rowan County, NC, Mr. Hunt was raised by his late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.O. Woodson.  He was a graduate of Catawba College and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Superbag Operating Limited of Houston, TX.  He taught school for three years at Seagrove, Endy, and Parkwood.  He was also a former employee of DART Containers Corp., Druth Packaging, and Dillard Paper Company.  He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Spencer, NC and was selected for Who's Who of American Business and was an accomplished businessman.

He is surivived by his wife, Linda Marlene Barnes Hunt; three sons: Marc W. Hunt and wife Kathy of Albemarle, NC, C. Todd Hunt and wife Donna of New London, NC, and David A Hunt and wife Julie of Albemarle, NC; one brother, Larry Wayne Hunt of Charlotte, NC; and five grandchildren: Catherine Deese, Woody Hunt II, Merionne Hunt, Dawson Hunt, and Dreyson Hunt.
