Clyde Hathcock Blalock, 81, of 513 Marlbrook Drive, Albemarle, NC, passed away Monday, September 21st, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, September 22nd, from 6 PM to 8 PM. His funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 at West Albemarle Baptist Church. Rev. Adam Hatley and Rev. Nathan Fox will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born October 24th, 1927 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Blalock was the son of hte late William Richmond and Carrie Hathcock Blalock. He was educated in the Norwood Schools and was a retired Draftsman and Sales Representative. He was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church, a Veteran of the US Army WWII, and Past President of the Albemarle Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Page Blalock; one son: Doug Blalock of Albemarle, NC; two daughters: Amanda Blalock Howell ofAlbemarle and Nina Rae Blalock Williamson of Mt. Gilead, NC; one brother: Jule Alex Blalock of Great Falls, MT; one sister: Cornelia Hatley of Norwood, NC; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One son, Rickey Blalock, and one brother, W.R. Blalock, preceded him in death.
