Mr. Claude Gerald Andrews, age 82, of 49449 River Run Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, November 19th, 2010 at Britthaven of Piedmont.  His family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Sunday evening at Stanly Funeral Home and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Monday, November 22nd, 2010 at Lakeview Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC.  Rev. Tab Whitley will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory with full military rites by the Stanly County DAV Ritual Team.

Born April 2nd, 1928 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Andrews was the son of the late Claude Andrews and Cora Spivey Andrews.  He was a retired employee of Lorch Plumbing and Heating and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII in the Pacific Theater.  He also loved to fish and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Talbert Andrews; one daughter, Linda Andrews Ritchie of Albemarle, NC; one brother, Richard Andrews of Landis, NC; one sister, Doris Lambert of Albemarle, NC; one grandchild, Amy Ritchie Jones of Norwood, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Jones and Grayson Jones.
