Cheryl Leona Morton, age 60, of 24723 Kates Drive in Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, April 30th, 2010 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. Her graveside funeral will be on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 at Union Grove Baptist Church’s Cemetery. Her family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Rev. Lee Church will officiate.
Born March 22, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Charlie and Irene Kauffman Morton and was a former textile worker and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents; one brother, David Charles Morton of Georgia; one sister, Judy Morton Springer of Albemarle, NC; one nephew, Paul Springer of Norwood, NC; one niece, Megan Springer Stroud of Albemarle, NC; two great nephews; and one great neice.
