Broadus Eudy, age 88, of 2120 East Main Street, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. His family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Sunday, May 9th, at Congregational Christian Church. Rev. Donald Ray Johnson will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory with full military graveside rites conducted by the Stanly County DAV Ritual Team.
Born December 11th, 1921 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Eudy was the son of the late Jacob Eudy and Bessie Thompson Eudy and stepmother Mary Russell Eudy. He was the Owner and Operator of Broadus Eudy Plumbing Co. and a member of Congregational Christian Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII.
He was married to the late Margaret McLaurin Eudy. He is survived by his son, John Allen Eudy of Albemarle, NC; his daughter, Brenda Eudy Morris of Albemarle, NC; sister, Lilly White of Albemarle, NC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and special friend, Carolyn McLain of Albemarle, NC. He was preceded in death by son, Stephen Eudy.
