Bobby Henry Brown, 70, of 4 Cherry Street, Badin, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. His family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Stanly Funeral home and his funeral will be in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 28th at 11 AM. Pastor John Futterer will officate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum with full military rites by the Stanly County DAV Ritual Team.

Born January 16th, 1939 in Cumberland County, NC, Mr. Brown was the son of the late William Walter Brown and Laura Howard Brown and was a retired Carpenter. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Air Force. He was married to the late Loretta R. Brown. Survivors include three daughters: Dianne Russell, Bobbie B. Throneburg, and Tiffany Starnes all of Albemarle; four brothers: Paul Brown, Larry Brown, and Tracey Brown, Tommy Brown of Ocean Isle, NC, and Gordon Brown of Albemarle; two sisters: Mary Lou Blackmon of Erwin, NC and Dorothy Denning of Coats, NC; and ten grandchildren. Four brothers: Albert Brown, Coy Brown, Alan Brown, and James Brown; and one sister: Kathleen Brown Knotts; preceded him in death.
