Mr. Billy Carroll Eury, age 78, passed away on Monday, April 25th, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC.  His family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and his funeral will be at 2 PM on Friday, April 29th, 2011 at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Aquadale Baptist Church Cemetery in Norwood, NC. 

Born July 20th, 1932 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Eury was the son of the late Spurgeon Jefferson and Lucrecia Cranford Eury.  He was a retired First Sgt. with the US Army where he served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam 101st Airborn Specialist with Special Forces and was a Green Beret Front Line Medic.  He was a former member of the Blessed Hope Ministries and loved and supported the Billy Graham Ministries and John Hagee Ministries.  He was also an avid woodworker and gardener.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Green Eury.  He is survived by two sons, Dan Eury of Port Orchard, Washington and Joe Eury of Tacoma, Washington; two daughters, Gina Roscoe of Tacoma, Washington and Jill Wiles of Tacoma, Washington; one sister, Janice E. Jordan of Gold Hill, NC; and seven grandchildren: Nick Eury, Jack Eury, Jeffery Wolfe, Dillion Wiles, D.J. Wiles, Darcy Roscoe, and Mia Roscoe.
