William Kenneth "Bill" Talbert, age 80, of 2313 Pecan Avenue, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 10th, 2011 at CMC NorthEast.  His family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday evening and his funeral will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 at Anderson Grove Baptist Church.  Dr. Rick Walker and Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and burial will be in Anderson Grove's Cemetery will full military honors by the Stanly County DAV.

Born August 25th, 1930 in China Grove, NC, Mr. Talbert was the son of the late William Roy Talbert and Flora Thompson Talbert.  He graduated from Albemarle High School and was a retired employee of E.J. Snyder.  He was a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Marine Corp.  He loved listening to Chet Atkins music, riding his Can Am Spyder, and was interested in vintage war planes. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Morton Talbert; one son, Ricky Talbert and wife Tina of Oak Island, NC; three daughters: Dianne Miller and husband Max of Concord, NC, Kim Clark and husband  Rick of Kernersville, NC, and Amy Faulkner and husband Mike of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Johnsie Cook; twelve grandchildren: Tera, Ethan, Thomas, Kevin, Ryan, Tim, Travis, Erin, Tabatha, Hope, Mahalah, and Jarod; and six great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Victor Louis Talbert, and an infant son.
