Beulah Mae Fraley Cotton, age 63, of 48147 Gold Branch Road, Richfield, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at Stanly Regional Center in Albemarle, NC. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at Stanly Funeral Home and her funeral will be on Thursday, February 4th, at 2 PM in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel. Pastor John Futterer will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.
Born August 4th, 1946 in Chesterfield County, SC, Mrs. Cotton was the daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Sophie Tucker Fraley and the granddaughter of the late Aaron F. Tucker and Lizzie T. Gainey. She was a graduate of Cabarrus School of Nursing and a former employee of Stanly County Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church New London, a member of the Red Hat Society, and the YMCA Book Club. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed helping her husband with flowers and gardening. She loved traveling, visiting places around the world, and life. She will be missed by her family and friends worldwide.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry William Cotton of the home; one daughter: Dana Cotton Story and husband Rusty of Albemarle, NC; three brothers: Benny J. Fraley of New london, NC, Frankie S. Fraley of New London, NC, and David D. Fraley of Richfield; two sisters: Joann F. Melton of Richfield and Vickey F. Everhart of Gold Hill, NC; and two grandchildren: Mattie Grace and Oliver Kipling II. One sister, Mary Frances Rabon preceded her in death.
