Mrs. Betty Almond Misenheimer, age 80, of Richfield, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.  Her graveside funeral service will be at 3 PM on Monday, December 5th, 2011 at New Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery and her family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2:30 PM just prior to the service at Stanly Funeral Home.  Rev. Donald Ray Johnson will officiate.

Born January 20th, 1931 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Misenheimer was the daughter of the late John Franklin Almond and Flossie Harrington Almond.  She was educated at Efird School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of New Bethel Lutheran Church and loved her flower-garden and birds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior "J.T." Thomas Misenheimer.  She is survived by one son, David Misenheimer and wife Hazel of Richfield, NC; two daughters, Iris Carman and husband Stan of Wilkesboro, NC and Alda Kaye Misenheimer of Graysonville, MD; one brother, Hoyle Keith Almond of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Barbara Ann Almond of Albemarle, NC; two grandchildren, Melissa Harrington and husband Jason of Richfield, NC and Tony Misenheimer and wife Regina of Richfield, NC; and one great-grandson, Caleb Harrington.
