Mrs. Avis Elizabeth Spivey Springer, age 87, of 187 Buckeye Lane, Burgaw, NC, passed away recently.  Her graveside service will be at 2 PM on Monday, October 17th, 2011 at Anderson Grove Baptist Church's Cemetery.  Rev. Dan Robelen will officiate.

Born August 15th, 1924 in Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Springer was the daughter of the late Lacey Spivey and Cleter Cranford Spivey.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Willie Springer.  She is survived by two sons, Steve Springer and wife Gloria of Burgaw, NC and Wayne Springer of Conway, SC; one brother, Rufus Spivey of Albemarle, NC; one sister, Mary Leviner of Wilmington, NC; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
