Alice Cleonie Hall Hopkins, age 85, of 2728 US 52 Hwy North, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 15th, 2010 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen, NC. Her funeral will be at 2 PM on Monday, April 19th, 2010 at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC and her family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the hour of service. Rev. Stoney Benfield will officiate and burial will be in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born May 1st, 1924 in Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Hopkins was the daughter of the late Carl Crawford and Cleonie Burris Hall. She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mill Co. and a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC.
She was married to the late Marvin Swink Hopkins. She is survived by two brothers: Carl Lane Hall of Aberdeen, NC and Earl Wayne Hall of Austin, TX; and many nieces and nephews who faithfully and lovingly attended her care. Three brothers; Johnny Hall, Claude Hall, and James Hall; and two sisters; Maie Hall Ussery and Vernie Hall Holt; preceded her in death. The family would like to give special thanks to Kingswood Nursing Center for their care of Mrs. Hopkins.
